On Relationships
Share your anxieties, hopes, horrors, and pleasures around relationships in this quick installation I made at the Dublin branch library in metro Columbus, Ohio. Many responses will be included in a permanent public artwork installed in the area next year.
This was inspired by the pains of our age, particularly isolation and self-absorption. I want to highlight our relations with others, to pull us out of our self-annihilating vortexes and consider the wide range of emotions that come along with feeling connected or disconnected. We often only talk about the good stuff. Seeing other people's struggles and confusions has always given me consolation and courage to face my own.
The installation includes a 10-minute video loop of handwritten reflections on relationships from past public installations, and a writing table to anonymously submit your own.
Here until May 15, 2026!
