Before I Die in Lithuania
“Before I die I want to… grow old with love, apologize to my husband, see the leaders wake up, collect many flowers, see the lighthouse again, forgive and let go, invent a cure for cancer, plant an oak, see a peaceful sky,” from this lovely double-sided wall in Šiauliai, Lithuania, thanks to Gintautas Jazdauskas and his organization Šiauliai Tech.
"Before I Die" continues to grow every year thanks to passionate people who want to create public spaces to reflect and connect with their community. Gintautas's wall is particularly striking, beautifully-constructed, and clearly well-used. And thanks to his diligent documentation, we know that people have shared in 19 languages so far: Lithuanian and English mostly, as well as Ukrainian, Spanish, Latvian, Russian, Italian, French, German, Polish, Chinese, Japanese, Finnish, Catalan, Portuguese, Romanian, Georgian, Arabic and Kyrgyz. Thank you Gintautas!
