Ever since Time Magazine’s redesign a year ago I want to spend more time in its big-titled pages, it’s so damn sharp. They have handsome information graphics that rival The New York Times and this week’s issue features a hot one. To accompany their cover article “Does Experience Matter in a President?”, they plotted the political experience of all 42 U.S. presidents (and the current candidates) by stacking their years in state, national, and military positions.

I couldn’t find it online, so I scanned in the good-looking graphic chock-full of juicy information. Superstars Lincoln and FDR were among the least-experienced… snap! Then again, so was George W. Bush, but that was really a Dick Cheney presidency. The president with the most experience was… James Buchanan. Ya. I Wikipedia’d him and he pushed for slave-owner rights, mismanaged national finances, and split his party. Boo Buchanan.

Go Obama! We are the ones we’ve been waiting for! We are the change we want to see! Yes I can! Yes you can! Rah rah rah!
